Montgomery College’s Workforce Development & Continuing Education programs offer a variety of Green Energy and Sustainability Management (Printable Flyer) courses for business and homeowners, Green Technology courses for the building and construction trade, opportunities for local businesses to obtain their Green Business Certification (Printable Flyer), and LEED CEU courses to help maintain LEED certifications. Montgomery College Awarded $10,000 Gift from Reznick Group for Green and Sustainability Education

Montgomery College has secured a $10,000 gift from the Reznick Group to create a new online course, Introduction to Environmental and Social Sustainability. The College’s Workforce Development and Continuing Education will start the course this month, in partnership with the nonprofit organization, Bethesda Green, the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection. Reznick Group’s gift will be used to develop the curriculum and to provide scholarships to individuals with financial needs and/or small companies and nonprofits. Read more here.
Global Climate Change Curriculum
Montgomery College has partnered with Dickinson College and other community college partners to enhance education relating to global climate change. Faculty from participating institutions have formed a learning community to share research, curriculum and resources. Montgomery College’s participation in the project is headed up by Professor Diane McDaniel.
